ABOUT ME

The people in my life would say I'm a great listener. There's a three-year-old who would say I'm a great dinosaur. And readers of my work would say I write great dialogue.

Honestly, I think those are all super great endorsements, but opening a meeting with a dino-rawr might not be the best way to go.

Which brings me to something I'm not particularly good at:

self-promotion.

I'm not saying I don't believe in my work. I absolutely do! I love my stories. I love my music. I can sell those! The tough part is convincing myself it's okay to ask someone to listen in the first place.

But... I'm gonna try. Deep breath.

(For both of us.)

I care about heart, and warmth, and meaning. But my stories can also be abrasive, emotionally vulnerable, and unwilling to tie things up with a bow. And that makes it that much more wonderful when they connect.

One of those screenplays was selected for The Black List Recommends. That meant a ton to me, especially since it's one of my favorite scripts. I mean... don't tell anyone... but I cry when I read it.

I also wrote a children's show for Valleyfair Theme Park. And hey! I love that too! Maybe more than most things. It's funny, has a ton of heart, and it doesn't talk down to kids or adults. Plus, I was able to compose the music and design the sound!

I'm proud of so much more, but as mentioned, I'm not great at self-promotion.

And I am exhausted.

How about this: you take a look around the website. Check out my projects. Listen to some music.

I'll meet you at the Epilogue. We can chat more then.
